  Rob Steyn

Rob has been a photographer and videographer for over 20 years. Although he completed a two year stint as a professional photographer, Rob’s real personal passion has always been in music and the movies. He loves people and working with them. Rob has been part of the business world for over 25 years and has functioned at all levels of corporate life – right up to board level.

Those close to Rob will say that he loves to talk and dream up new ideas – this being part of his enjoyment in dealing with people. But he is also one to get things done. Sometimes described paradoxically as “finely focussed” and a “big picture kinda guy”, Rob is always thinking up new ways of improving – and proving – things.

Rob describes himself as strategic. He enjoys a good dream, or plan, and loves to see it become a new reality. With his strong background as a formally trained economist and business scientist, Rob performs the business management role in the overall group. Additionally, his creative spirit is catered for through his participation in several Stunning Ideas projects as a Director, a Director of Photography and a Writer. He is also a Principle Photographer for Stunning People; as well as being the managing director of Stunning People and Stunning Ideas.
   
  Deon van der Merwe

Deon has been a photographer for over 16 years and is extremely passionate about the discipline and creative telling of an idea through images. Deon’s chosen genre in this field is sports photography and he is well-known in and around the action at most of the more significant sporting events – he loves to capture the action as it happens.

Often heard talking about the challenge of getting the “great shot”, Deon insists that every shot should tell a story and capture the moment so that the viewer can experience the same sensations as if they were there at the time. Deon is a creative soul, passionate about his craft; highly versatile in his capability to cover most subjects. He constantly seeks the “wow” image.
   
  René Lind-Steyn

Rene, as one of the shareholders of the group, is a key part of the efficient and effective running of the business. Rene has been in real estate and the pharmaceutical industry for many years and now enjoys a full-time career in the financial services industry. Rene is the “quiet sanity” that prevails in the main shareholder team; and she acts with “reason” and calmness when the “boys” are busy dreaming up grandiose plans and projects.

A popular and service-minded part of the team, Rene heads up the shared support services of the group which allows the creative teams to focus on their core business areas. An efficient and disciplined person, Rene is often the one seen organising the lives and activities of those involved in company projects – be it evaluation or portfolio events for Stunning People; a Stunning Ideas movie or video production project; or a shareholder’s meeting.

We all agree that without Rene – things simply would not work as well as they do!
